I have worked for several Agencies and a few Transport Companies during my years as a Truck Driver, but I have never worked for a perfect Employer, possibly because grumbling is an important part of being a professional driver.

I have now worked for Eclipse for 10 years, first as a full time driver and now part time as I am semi-retired.  We all know about the slack times of year, but I can honestly say that I have always been given as much work as I want, sometimes more than I want to do.  I am fussy in that I like good, well maintained trucks, because I value my licence. The Companies Eclipse send me into all have modern, good vehicles that are run legally, no dubious routes, or exceeding hours.

Another thing that I like about Eclipse is the people who run it. The staff are understanding, considerate and friendly.  They also have a good knowledge of Tachograph Law and the Working Time Directive, which makes discussing problems easier.

It is my intention to keep working for Eclipse as long as I can keep passing my annual medical.

The team at Eclipse have again today gone over and above to help me maintain a high level of service to our customers with safety in mind at all times in our line of work.
We had one of our full time drivers call me to say he was unable to work today. We had a very important collection from our customer at the MOD to do. We did not only have to keep to our collection SLA, we had to maintain a professional service with highly competent staff to meet our safety standards and SLA at all times to complete our task assigned to us through the MOD.
We called the team at Eclipse very early in the morning to see if we could have a competent trained Low Loader driver.
They not only managed to get me a drive that could drive the vehicle, they got me a very experienced low-loader driver at very short notice. The driver was able to maintain our 100% positive feed back from the MOD.

I recommend all low loader company's to use the team at Eclipse if you ever need holiday cover for your fleet or short notice to maintain your delivery service and SLA to your customers..

They provide an excellent level of service with a 24-hour contact line that is consistently manned. Communication is very good and they will always inform the relevant person who is available for the following day. They supply a consistently high calibre of staff – general labourers & LGV II drivers – that usually require a minimal amount of training.
